Mark Mottillo MPT Owner
Mark has been practicing off and on in the Titusville area since 1993. In June of 2004 he opened Oil Valley Physical Therapy in Titusville. Mark graduated from Meadville Senior High School in 1982. He then attended and graduated from Penn State University in 1986 with a BS in marketing. In 1992 he graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Masters of Physical Therapy. Mark worked at a variety of outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinics, most notably Joyner Sports Medicine Institute in Altoona, PA, before relocating back to northwestern PA and eventually opening Oil Valley Physical Therapy. Mark has had extensive training in myofascial release, and has obtained his certified strength and conditioning certification. He has also had the opportunity to work with elite college and professional athletes in a sports performance arena. Mark brings over 20 years of experience in the orthopedic-sports medicine field to Oil Valley Physical Therapy. In addition to the day-to-day operations at Oil Valley Physical Therapy, Mark enjoys spending time with his son, Christopher, and his daughter, Olivia. He especially enjoys his children’s participation in athletics, as well as maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle himself. He is an avid follower of high school, college, and professional sports and enjoys traveling.
Steve Kriner MPT ATC
Steve has been a practicing in the Titusville area since 1994. Prior to settling down in Titusville, Steve graduated from Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg, PA. He then attended and graduated from Lock Haven University in 1986 with a degree in health science/sports medicine. He received his certification as an athletic trainer the same year and was hired by Saint Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA.
Steve headed the sports medicine outreach program and provided athletic trainer services to multiple Erie city and county schools, including McDowell, Mercyhurst Prep, and Seneca High Schools. While continuing to work and start a family with his wife Gail, Steve attended Gannon University and graduated in 1994 with his Masters of Physical Therapy. Steve then moved to Titusville in 1994 to pursue his career in physical therapy and athletic training.
In 2008 he brought his 22 years of experience to Oil Valley Physical Therapy. Besides providing physical therapy at the clinic, he also serves as the athletic trainer for the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville. In addition to to spending time with his wife and two daughters, Ellie and Carly, he is an active member of the National Ski Patrol Association and can be found patrolling the slopes at Peek ‘N Peak resort. He also enjoys trail running and cross-country skiing.
Dr. Dan HughesDPT
Dan Hughes, DPT, comes to Oil Valley Physical Therapy with a vast amount of experience and knowledge in physical therapy. He builds on that experience to help patients in whatever condition that they are in.
Dr. Hughes has extensive experience working with orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions, as well as, with the geriatric population.
Dr. Hughes received his doctorate from Slippery Rock University. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. He is also a Second Degree Black Belt Tae Kwon Do, and an Instructor of G-Jo Acupressure and 24 Posture Therapeutic Qigong. Dan is married to Kayla, who is also is a physical therapist. They reside in Oil City.
Jeff Thurau MPT
Jeff Thurau, MPT joined the OVPT family in early 2015 and is primarily at our Tionesta clinic. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the OVPT family. Jeff is certified under Pennsylvania’s Direct Access program to see patients for up to a month without a doctor’s prescription. Jeff specializes in Functional Capacity Evaluations for OVPT. This is one of the tests that many companies use in the hiring process of potential employees.
Dan Hasbrouck PTA
Dan was born and raised in Titusville, and is a 1996 graduate of Titusville High School. He pursued a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville in 2001. Dan has been a practicing PTA for the past 11 years, working alongside Steve Kriner in outpatient physical therapy. He also served 10 years as the Titusville High School boys’ soccer team coach. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his wife, Lauren, and his two boys, Brady and Ethan.
Eden Lesko PTA
Eden is from the Tionesta area and is a proud graduate from the University of Pittsburgh’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Andy Osborn PTA
Andy is another graduate of Titusville High School and the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville in 2001. Andy is a big Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Leanne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the OVPT family in the areas of athletic training and sports medicine, as she provides outreach athletic training services to Titusville Area Schools. Leanne was raised in St. Mary’s, PA, where she graduated and then graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with an internship at Edinboro University. Leanne takes great pride in providing on-premise care to all Titusville Rocket student-athletes. She also enjoys running and playing softball.
Pamala PalmaRehab Technician
Pam spent most of her life in South Florida but moved to Titusville to be with her family and raise her two children, Landon and Angelina. She has been employed at Oil Valley Physical Therapy since 2008, and has been a key component in developing a cohesive and efficient rehabilitation team with staff therapists. If she’s not at work you’ll find her with her family and friends supporting their every move.
Ellie Kriner Rehab Technician
Ellie is the first second generation OVPT family member. She is a graduate of Titusville High School and Pennsylvania State University. She has a passion for Penn State’s THON, which is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON is the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon and is a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Polly Deitz Office Manager
Polly joined the staff at Oil Valley Physical Therapy as office manager in 2009, bringing almost 20 years’ experience in the medical office field with her, and oversees the practical functionality of the clinic such as scheduling, marketing, and insurance credentialing. In her free time Polly enjoys exercising and spending time with her family, particularly her eight grandchildren.
Miranda Yoder Receptionist
Miranda joined Oil Valley Physical Therapy staff in 2012. Initially, she worked as one of our Rehabilitation Technicians, but now is our Receptionist. Everyone loves her smile, her welcoming comments, and coffee making skills for our Comfort Station.
She is a 1999 graduate of Titusville High School, and together with her husband, Dan, is blessed with three beautiful children: Isaiah, Aidan, and Ryleigh. In her spare time, she dabbles in cake design and baking.
Rita Winger LMT Receptionist
Rita joined Oil Valley Physical Therapy staff in 2015. She assists Jeff at the Tionesta Clinic. Rita oversees the F.I.T. Program at our second facility.
Rita also is a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Functional Independent Training (F.I.T.) Program
OVPT features the area’s F.I.T. Program at both clinics. See the F.I.T. page for more information. Since 2009, we have been able to employ students from Titusville High School as our F.I.T. Coordinators. This gives the students an afterschool job and introduces them to the clinic and the process that take place to help the patients during their physical therapy. The students help the staff in the clinic and then oversees the F.I.T. equipment. They also are in charge of the orientations for new F.I.T. members and are a constant support for the F.I.T. members.
Matt KerrF.I.T. Coordinator
Matt Kerr is a senior at Titusville High School. Matt is a two sport Rocket with multiple Varsity letters in football and track and field. Matt is very active at THS and is the Student Council Vice President.
Danielle WhiteF.I.T. Coordinator
Danielle White is a senior at Titusville High School. She is extremely helpful with our OVPT current and past patients.
